I have a jacardna mimosifolia that has some weird growths that look like galls. I picked some off the they smelled like plant sap and were sticky. Any idea what it might be? Plant is currently indoors cause it is very cold outside.

Yeah, looks like an infestation.
Usually a good water spray/splash outdoors takes care of most, and it is eco friendly.
Otherwise a mild insecticide for plants twice a week should take care of the problem.
I use a mix of isopropyl alcohol + dishwasher soap + 90% water to spray my indoor plants twice a week.

These are not growths on the plant. These green sticky things are aphids.
