Hey all, I just want to start off by saying that I have read the guides and whatnot for my situation. But, I still want some advice and I’m hoping some of you guys can help. SO, my serissa has been yellowing. I live in the bay area, and it has been dropping to around ~35 degrees F every night. While inside, my house stays ~66 degrees F. I have been bringing my tree inside during the nights, and leaving it outside during the day. I have read online though, that the sharp changes in temperature can be really bad for the plant. And now i am considering leaving it inside full time during the winter in an area that gets lots of light. But I am still worried that the change in temperature will hurt my tree more. Is there any correct decision to make? Is putting it by a windowsill a bad idea? Please help. Thanks.

I never have owned a serissa, so.. No species specific advice from me.
But yes. Moving plants around is a bad idea. So pick a suitable spot, such as indeed, a windowsill, and leave it there for months. Then when spring comes, and the weather is warm enough you can place it outside.
You say you live near a bay. Does this buffer temperatures? How cold does your winter get?

I would bring the tree inside for the winter. In a sunny room and not neat a heat source. The moving back and forth could be a reason for leaf drop. You could put it back outside in the beautiful spring weather.
