Privets have no trouble with frost, as long as the have had a few weeks outsite, getting used to colder days. If th eplant was in a protected environment at the place wher eyou bought it, you cannot just chuck it in the cold. But normally, privets have no problems with frost

There are privets that cannot take frost. However I cannot tell if this is the case here, proboably not.

This tree was brought up in an indoor environment, at least when I bought it. I'll skip the outdoors for this winter but I'll surely try it next winter. Thinking about getting some decent plant rack and putting a few seeds to grow as well for the long run.
It's great to see how this community works. It really encourages to take on new challenges.
