Hello, I'm new to this channel and eager to talk to more experienced 名媛直播-lovers!
I started (my first!) Dwarf Pomegranate bonsai last spring from a potted plant at our local greenhouse, and it was doing well all season in a very sunny window box spot indoors, however my husband and I got married and he started slowly moving in with me, the plants weren't moved from his rental right away and we weren't there a lot to keep up with watering, and his roommates weren't watering anything so the leaves started to turn yellow though it did produce one last flower at that point. We moved it to my house finally and tried to rehabilitate it, however at this point almost all the leaves have dropped over the course of a month or two.
I trimmed back some of the branches recently and I've been watering regularly, could this be also related to seasonal deciduous leaf drop and I might expect the leaves to come back in the spring? Could I expect new leaf growth before then if it's not too far gone? I don't think it's dead, I'm just not sure what will happen at this point. The spot it's in at the moment doesn't have the best light for its needs, would it help to move it? Thanks for any insight.

You can see in these photos what it looked like when it was first repotted, and what it looks like now after a lot of leaf loss.

at this point itis hard to tall. My pomegranates are leafless now. So yeah, that can be normal.
Your best bet would be to just wait it out. I keep mine outside, and with deep frost I move it into an unheated garage. If you keep it indoors for winter, keep it in a cool room.
I have come to realize that pomegranate branches in winter look dead, more so than most deciduous species.

Thank you! I have read about this on various forums over and over but I've never had confirmation that the deciduous behavior is normal for an indoor plant and it's nice to have someone else say what I was guessing. I'll update this again if there is improvement! The room it's in is colder than I'd personally consider comfortable and has a lot of light though it's not directly in the light, I think it should encourage new growth to have some light as I don't have a set up with artificial lights for it yet.

Hm.. Not sure about indoors. Yes they would go to a domant phase but whether they would drop all their leaves.. Not sure. As said.. I keep mine to experience the seasons. Depending on how much the rooms cools down, it may be enough to trigger a leaf drop. Not sure.
Were it mine, I would place it in a frost-free yet cold place for winter, and bring it into a warmer place around march to trigger budding. Keeping it slightly moist, never wet, untill then.

If this has been inside and not watered properly the I suspect that it id not going to recover. Mu one stays out and survives frost well, but it does not like to get too dry.

My three indoor trees drop most of their leaves during the time they are indoors. Maybe decem, January or February. They will drop most of their leaves and usuastart growing new ones right away.

Thank you to everyone for making me feel welcome and giving advice. I'm about to attach pics of the new leaf growth!
This was watered irregularly for 2 months and sometimes dried out for a week or more at a time. When it dropped its leaves in the fall I thought we might have terrible times ahead, but I have a lot of hope it's bouncing back now! Can't wait to share better growth photos!
