Came across a beautiful plant that I was drawn to 2 weeks ago. Ive been searching the web and images to narrow down the specific name so that I can give it the optimal care. To no avail was I able to locate its species. I have recently given its first pruning and noticed a considerable amount of dry leaves. Ultimately I would love to have this plant with me for many years, so I would like your help it keeping it that way.

This is a forum about bonsai. Better try ask this question on a forum for houseplants.

Actually, it's a Ming Aralia that's often sold as bonsai - even when they are untrained houseplants.
