Welcome and congrats for your 16th bday, excellent time to start with bonsai!
You were given a juniper, and it will die if you don't place it outside. Search for the juniperncare guide on this forum. Also, get rid of the pebbles, glued on moss and statues, they will prevent you from seeing the soil to know when watering is needed and will make watering difficult.
On a side note ( I know you are happy with your gift now) ... this is a mallsai ( google the term) of which 90% die very fast ( some of them are just cuttings, placed in a pot with some soil and glued on moss, pebbles....).
But again, 16 is an excellent time to start!!!!!!

I always say to buy a book and join a club, best way to learn how to look after trees.
