Hi all
My Japanese white pine has started getting quite a bit of yellowing (not brown and dry) on the pines over the last few weeks. I have pulled a few off which come away very easily
We have had a hot summer in the UK and I moved the bonsai in to the shade when I first noticed the yellowing but this is still happening
Any tips or ideas on what I can do to help the tree and prevent the yellowing?
Thanks
Freddie

This is a normal reaction to the start of autumn, mine are doing it too. I keep mine in full sun but don't water unless very dry. It does not want to be in shade as it will not dry out. If you are having a lot of rain you could tip the pot up a little with a stone under to allow water to run away. If you have somewhere in full sun but you can keep rain off that might help.

Exactly what m5eaygeoff said, but this should only concern older, inner needles. Younger needles at the end of the branches should stay green. If they turn yellow too, that's probably a problem.
