Okay, the story goes, I was gifted a Japanese maple in Lithuania, and I sadly live in Denmark, so I was forced to bring it on the plane. My grandma was taking care of it, and had placed it in a place that was too sunny, so the leaves got scorched, and during the extremely dry flight it didn't have a great time.
It lost it's leaves when I got home, slowly.

I've still been watering regularly, and I'm usually a green thumb, but this guy has been struggling so much. It looks like new leaves are forming ((photo 2)) but maybe some one has tips how to make it recover? My grandma also killed a lot of the moss thinking it was a mistake (love slav grandmas and their good wills)

Im PRETTY sure he's still alive, but I mean, he looks so goddamn sad.

Also I ain't a bonsai specialist, I prefer easier plants, but I have the time to try.

Let's hope it's just the buds for next year and that leaves do not develop yet, with it being autumn now, as they wouldn't harden off in time. You have it outdoors, of course?
