I am new to the bonsai hobby and bought a commercial bonsai for a cheap price and been working hard to understand how to care for it.
I have ready many things from this website and a good amount of videos from youtube that I feel I have a basic understanding now.

I just wanted to ask Is my tree healthy? I have had it for just over a month now and I have noticed a lot of new leaves appearing.

Trees love to be outside. You and I can't feel a lot of difference, but they can. There are plenty of topics here and plenty of websites that discuss bonsais, outdoors, and what to do about weather.

You would have found out that Chinese Elms are hardy and do not survive inside for long. They will withstand -10C easily, so get it out if you want it to live.
