I have a small Trident maple bonsia. I was wondering if i would be able to take a small branch from this and start growing another tree?

What is exactly air layering? And when you say summer cuttings do you mean wait till summer to get some cuttings off the maple?

air layering is a propagation method similar to ground layering:
You can use the terms air and ground layering in Youtube and find tons of good instructions.
Yes, summer cuttings is what it says, to take cuttings in the summer to create a new tree. use the search term maple cutting propagation in youtube to find all that you need to know.
