I planted my bonsai earlier this year and all was going great. ( I never had to put it in the fridge as it has sprouted before the time it said to be put in!)
I accidentally knocked my plant off the work top and into my dogs water bowl! It was still in tact but lost lots of soil so I patted down lightly what was left and added in extra soil from a bonsai soil pack. I added in supports and kept it in the sunlight but it has began to wilt and look very sad! Is is just trauma or is all hope lost?!
I don’t know what type of tree it is as I got it in a grow your own bonsai tree set and it didn’t have the name of the seed on the packet or box.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You have a tiny very expensive seedling that has nothing to do with bonsai. If it survives and grows it may in about ten years be trained and possibly can be called bonsai, but you were conned into buying tree seeds, which were extortionately priced for what they are. If you wish to grow a tree for bonsai then buy a grown plant that will not only save you years but also be cheaper than the seeds you bought.
