Hi all,
I've been tending this kumquat from seed here in the Pacific NW for over 7 years now. Awhile back, when repotting, I noticed the root structure had nice movement and exposed it gradually. Problem is, now the exposed root is growing much faster than the rest of the tree. Is it safe to bury the root again???

My greatest difficulty with this citrus is the angular growth after pruning. Any new branches want to come off at nearly right angles to the area pruned. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

No easy way to avoid it in Kumquats. It's a matter of patience, pruning all up and down straight new growth.
See mine, it has the same problems, including the roots.
