I did. I did notice the '4 year old' so my chain of thought was that it concerned yet another person who doesn't know about bonsai who purchased a very young plant that's not a bonsai from a reseller who doesn't know - or just doesn't care - what a bonsai is either. .Such plants never survive.
So, I did not see it wasn't watered for weeks which killed it, obviously. It would have died anyway, so the reply would not have been much different.
