I did a search, but didn't get results, maybe i did it wrong, sorry if this is redundant.
Over the past couple of weeks the new growth has been yellow on my Jacquelyn Hilliar elm and my cherry. There is no evidence of pests that I can tell. Can this be due to the extremely hot weather? i have been trying to water enough--sometimes twice per day if it looks like it needs it. Thoughts?\Thanks, Catharine

Depending on what country you are in it could be normal. If it is outside and well watered then it should be fine. If it is both trees then there is a possibility that it is lack of water. I don't know what th white material is but I hope you have not got it covered up.

Thank you for your reply. I live in the US in New England. I held up a towel only for the photo.
