Repurposed aquarium was created by eXistenZe

Hey there.

I have a 100x40x50cm aquarium with strong artificial light (120W led dimmable) that I recently repurposed to a mini garden.
I was wondering if it was possible to empty it completely and put a bonsai in there with some ornaments.
I can easily access it from above.
The main problem would be drainage. There are no holes, and if I try to put some in there, I risk breaking the glass.
The aquarium can sustain a large amount of soil (it has around 8cm height now), and it has a fake bottom to sustain excessive water, but it will never drain bellow, just evaporate slowly.

Would this be an acceptable environment to a bonsai?

You could put a small tree in the aquarium, but you would have to pick the species carefully to match the climate it would experience and the soil conditions. It would have to be happy with constantly wet roots and you probably would not root trim or much in the way of training. There is probably a site for terraria with more information.

Whether you would call it bonsai is a different question. Feeling on bonsaiempire is not.
