So I find myself with several 4 inch seedlings of delonix regia . Wife has the idea of making bonsai from them.
They seem to be growing quick. Am I just letting them grow for a year before even thinking about any real bonsai work?

I think you’re soon going to find out that they will require many years of growth and training before they can become bonsais.

depends a little on the climate how fast they develop!
I personally like my trees on the large side, which means that the time to get a trunk is long too.
