I got this guy recently on a whim. Zero idea as to care other than that they're supposed to be quite hearty, it spoke to me, and it wasn't expensive. But in looking up more information, it seems that the ones I've found are quite different than this one with much bigger leaves. I was told that this one is about 15 years old.
Curious if anyone has experience with these plants and if there's anything in particular that I should know, other than that maybe I shouldn't impulse buy plants I don't know enough about.

Seeing all the thorns, perhaps it could be some type of rose?
Edit: Never-mind, there’s actually a plant called crown of thorns. I always think of anything with thorns as a rose ?.

Not sure, to be perfectly honest. It's already quite small and was presented as a bonsai, but I'm not finding a lot of information about it overall.

Common name: Crown of Thorns
Binomial name: Euphorbia milli
It's a succulent. I've not had this species. I have had Euphorbia trigona, which seems to be a larger fleshier cousin, that I gave away when the grouping of 7 reached 1.5-2m in height . It does not seem like the E. milli would be easy to wire or that it would react well to bending. Generally speaking, these forms of Euphobia only have leaves in the areas of active growth, while it is growing. Once a leaf drops it will not be replaced. Backbudding will happen, but unpredictably.
