Hello all!

I just planted some bonsai seeds last night so I know I have a while to go but wanted to give it a shot from scratch. Trying to get my ducks in a row early. My question is what fertilizer should I get and when should I start fertilizing (should I wait for the plant to sprout, longer..etc)? I don't really know anything so this information should be a huge help.

You do know that you didn't plant bonsai seeds but just regular tree seeds. There is no such thing as bonsai seed. Out of the seeds you bought will grow normal trees.
The fact that you say bonsai seeds indicates that you are a novice in bonsai. To explain everything from scratch would be impossible, so use the time you have until your seeds sprout and grow to study. There is a lot of good info to be found here.

Sow them in the end of the Winter, wait for them to sprout in the beginning of the Spring, don't fertilize until the end of the first summer.

I too started out as a complete novice and planted seeds I got from a "bonsai kit" as a gift. My advice, treat it like a common plant for the first year. Water it, give it plenty of light and for gods sake don't touch it.

Good luck with your seedling!
