I found a pine sapling... what now?

I am a very naive bonsai beginner, and I am just starting to read books and learn online. I found this pine sapling, and I am wondering if it is a good candidate for bonsai. Here are my two questions:
- What species is it?
- What should I do next?

First of all: place it outside or it will die, without a doubt.
What I have learned: if you have to ask you are not ready to do what you are asking. So, just keep this one alive ( difficult enough) and by the time you need to do something related to bonsai ( in a few years) you should have studied enough to know what to do next.
So: study study study and don't do anything to the sapling except watering and fertilising.

Find a local bonsai club and go to meetings. They will probably be friendly as can be. Listen to what they say. You will learn a tremendous amount every single meeting, and most of them will answer any question you ask.
