Hi.
I dug up a Elm in early spring. It has done well for a long time. But now some leaves have started to turn yellow and other leaves have started to turn black. The trew is placed in half shade. Is it due to over-watering or too little water?
I know that the tree isn't a bonsai yet.
Thanks in advance.

Did you make holes in the bottom of that bucket?

I like the material... ^^
Could be fungal or bacterial also, but I’ve got something similar with over fertilization.

Yes there are holes in the buttom of the bucket.
I have many other field elms and they are fine. I only got problems with this one.

That’s good! You have a control group! Is there any difference between them? I mean anything like: Time & locality of collection, position, substrate, root&foliage mass, watering, fertilization, etc...Matte wrote: I have many other field elms and they are fine. I only got problems with this one.
Maybe with more data someone will figure out what’s happening. : )
