Hello everyone,
This plant was picked up for me at a flower show. It came with a tag that states only willow. I'm trying to gather more information so I can properly care for it. I have never had a bonsai before and have read some articles stating they can be difficult and get large.
Thanks for any help,
MAZ

... you still don't have a bonsai. You have a young plant that needs years of training and development before it can even vaguely resemble a bonsai.

It could be willow. Corkscrew willow, Salix matsudana? Are the branches straight or also contorted?
It is not the first species I would take for bonsai; Willow in general tend to make poor specimen for bonsai due to random dying of branches, not closing cuts and very strong growth.

@lucR Thank you so much for not answering the question. It's obviously a plant but appreciate you telling me that information.

@leatherback The branches are straight . It really doesn't look like much of anything. Which is to be expected when buying a fairly new cut.

Maybe S. babylonica “Crispa” cultivar?
Just for the straight branches...
