Last December 2018, I found this plant in a former roommates closet. It had been there for at least 5 months, but was still alive ... amazingly. I started to remove all the dead leaves and branches, and watering slowly at first and placed in a warm sunny location in my house (I live in NH). IT STARTED TO GROW!!! I left it to grow until March when I slightly pruned grown tips and the plant did respond to new shoots. The soil was also "refreshed" with a help from a friend who is a professional in Orchids and the gravel layer on top replaced. Now it seems to be on the road to recovery.
My question is, what kind of plant is this? I looked at your ID'ing instructions and I'm unable to determine what kind of plant it is. I've included images in hopes someone can tell me so that I can better care for the plant.

One thing that is annoying on this site is the captcha verification ... kinda way too aggressive.
also my images don't show ... yay it showed, kinda inconvenient to go through a lot of red tape on this site to post ...

If you have problems with the site, tell the owner. The forum cannot do very much.
This is a so-called ginseng ficus. You might get some responses that indicate this is not really muh in the form of bonsai. Why?

It's a plant.
It's not a bonsai.
Please don't complain about this forum.
