Is my Trident Maple getting too much sun?

I purchased this Trident Maple last week. I live in Zone 9b (central florida), and I'm noticing the leaves on the top of the tree are droopy. They still feel velvety so not really crispy, but the leaves under them in the shaded area are certainly not droopy. It's been exceptionally hot since I purchased it, and I'm finding that I need to water it twice a day as the soil doesn't hold much moisture at all.
Here's the top leaves
And here are the leaves in the shade of the top leaves
Full tree here
Is this something I should be concerned about? Should I be pulling it into the shade in the afternoon when I get back from work, or leave it in the shade until I get back from work to put it out into the later afternoon sun?
As an aside, I picked up this tree along with a Bald Cypress for $500 for the pair. Hopefully that was reasonable, I'm really happy with the two

Hi and welcome.
It should be out of the early afternoon sun; even watering the Trident twice a day, it seems is too hot.
Morning sun and late evening sun are better for the Maple.
Please keep it alive and wait at least a year to see if this huge chop on the main trunk heals and callus over.

I usually leave for work around 9am and get back around 2pm, so I should be able to move it to the shade when I leave and then put it back out in the early afternoon and keep it out of the main heat. I'll give that a try and see if it fluffs back up over a few weeks. I was hoping to find some moss I could use to help stabilize the soil heat and help keep some of the moisture down but I'm not really finding any types of moss that seem to work in this zone. Looking around my neighborhood/local lake and river and trees, I can't find any moss growth at all so I assume that avenue is just out.
Definitely not going to do anything to this tree styling wise for a while. I did pull one of the branches forward with the wire as I want that to set and it's still fairly young, but I'll take another look come winter when it drops everything and get a better idea for how I want the tree style to progress. The chop is healing over nicely, that cut clay was put on when I bought the tree (the nursery owner used it as a lesson to me on how to prep a cut area and how to edge the cut to encourage more healing, then he put clay on the cuts). It was healing very nicely.

To be honest, I am more impressed by the price then by the trees.

The top leaves look to me as if they are just opening and have not hardened off yet. Mine is exactly the same. After a few days they come up straighter.

Just wanted to say thanks everyone for the help! After only less than week of putting it in the shade in the late morning and back out in the early afternoon, the leaves are starting to look a lot better.
Some of the upper and furthest extremity ones have these little brown tips on the end of the leaves but it doesn't seem to be getting worse, and I have new leaves still getting larger and growing strong
I'm curious what Auk meant about the price being more impressive than the trees... I can't tell if that's a bad or good statement! Did I overpay for these trees? I'm trying to find a local nursery that I can use for future purchases and I'm hoping this one provides reasonable prices but if not I'll need to keep looking
