Hi.
We had some days with lots of rain. And now one of my maples look very sad. I maybe think the tree has got too much water. Can you confirm that by looking at the unhappy leaves?
My other maples got the same amount of rain water. They are also placed the same, got the same soil and pots etc. And they look fine, wich i do not understand.
What can i do to save the tree?

No, it is not possible to tell from drooping leaves. It could be dry or too wet. I doubt it is because they are too wet unless the drainage is poor. Does water run through or stop on the surface? If the rest of your maples are ok then I doubt it is too wet from rain. In 20 years my trees have never been too wet from rain. I would check for aphids or other insets.

The drainage in this pot was very poor, compared with my other maples. Thats why I think is has been too wet. I have fixed the drainage problem now. What can I do to save the tree?

Well, for starters, don't let it get overwatered again soon.
As summer approaches, it will increase its demand for water, so keep an eye, maybe the famous chopstick probe can help avoid a too wet soil.
My experience with maples is tragic. Usually after wilting on me they don't survive, but... Could be the climate here, they hate it so hot.
