How can I save my bonsai? and what are these small worms in the water?
Does anybody have any ideas on how to save my bonsai other than re-potting? please, I don't want him to die and his condition isn't improving. The leaves are still green but going yellow and there all dried up almost crispy like. however, the leaves aren't dropping off like there dead yet so there's got to be something I can do to save him.

I guess it looked like this:

And that it looks like this now:

Also I guess it's not going to make it. They never do. We don't see successtories about plants like this, in this state.

Bad location, overwatering, underwatering, bad soil, fungus, bugs, insufficient light, dry air, too warm, too cold, too much fertilizer... pick one or more.

Well, being inside it is easily overwatered, the lack of sunlight and air circulation make it weaker, and eventually the tree will die.

so what's my best option, let it die and chuck it out or try and revive it?
is there the slightest chance I can revive it.

Yes, there is.
I would put it in the shade and cover it with a plastic transparent bag, like a tent, to keep inside moisture high ; leave some holes in the bag so the plant doesn't get any fungal issues; plenty of light and hope for the best.
