Many of the new leaves of my Chinese elm are turning brown before they start growing. Also, older and smaller leaves are turning yellow and falling but i don't know if it is related. I got the tree about 3 weeks ago.

Do you keep it outside?
How do you water it?
Do you use fertilier?
Have you searched the forum?

I keep the plant inside only during afternoon because the sun is very strong and it burned the leaves. It still receives bright indirect sunlight. I water it when the top of the soil feels slightly moist to almost dry. I haven't used fertilizer yet. I searched the forum but I don't know what exactly I should be looking for because it is my first bonsai.
