I’ve had my ficus bonsai for about 2-3 weeks now and I’ve been trying to understand when to water it and I’ve been doing it when the soil gets slightly dry and I make sure it runs through the bottom, I keep it on the window sill so it gets some sunlight and recently I’ve noticed some of the leaves and stems are starting to turn red and I can’t figure out why, I’m hoping I can save it if it’s dying? Also I haven’t fertilised it since I brought it.

It's quite normal, new foliage being reddish and old foliage dropping down after becoming yellow.
This little tree should be outdoors if the temperature is above 10C.

It’s great to know that this is normal, I also don’t have a garden to put it in unfortunately but when I brought it they said it was an indoor one so I’m hoping the temperature isn’t to high, I don’t know much about them so I’m trying to gather as much information as I can, I haven’t fertilised it since I brought it would you know when I should fertilise one of these? Thank you
