Hi

I have been curious about bonsai for some time now but never properly researched or bought anything. So last Monday I decided to do a little research only to find lots of information without precise technique explanation. Iv read some terminology that I can understand but others i just cant. So my question to you lovely lot with the years of experience....are there any books or websites or even YouTube channels with proper technique explanations and tutorials?? Dont worry though....I still haven't bought anything lol

I would suggest finding a local club. That gives you a group of people who have kept trees alive in your temperature/humidity range and know which trees don't make it, when to do things, etc.

The local group has a workshop on Saturday when I get to watch people do things, and when I get to ask questions and discuss the answers. I took a tree into the last one that I had just dug up, asking advice. I got four completely different answers, all of which ended with, "But, it's your tree." I got to discuss all the answers with the others, and I learned a lot that day.
