Do I need to repot? Also help with identity. was created by Redpandada

Hi I've got two new trees, but I'm very new to bonsai care.
One is a Chinese elm I think.
Do I need to repot? It comes in this oval shape pot with not drainage hole but it doesnt touch the bottom, so it collect all the dripping water. I need to take the whole tree out to get rid of the extra water. I'm a bit concern about this and would like an advice please.
Can you also identify my other tree for me?
Some of its leaves also has white/gray-ish build up. Is this from too much misting? Or dust attaching after misting?
Thanks for the help!
Jay

Your trees are Chinese Elm and Ficus.
I would drill some holes in the buttom of the pots.
The white on the leaves is calcium from your water.

I would repot in proper training pots.Hansen wrote: I would drill some holes in the bottom of the pots.
Yeah, hard water. Use rain water or water the soil but not the leaves so much.Hansen wrote: The white on the leaves is calcium from your water.

You have a chinese elm and a japanese holly, Ilex Crenata spp:
If the roots are separate from the drips that collect in the outer pot, it is not a problem. I do find it a problem that you pull the tree out of its pot. If the black pot is locked in the outer pot, free it up. Roots do not like disturbances.
Repotting is an option. I would however first decide whether you want to grow bonsai, or whethe ryou would like to keep these as decorative plants around the house. These are different targets in my view, and require a different type of input, and treatment.

My bad. I should stop identifying trees by looking at picutures on my phone.
