Hi all
Decided to start out with some outdoor bonsai for the first time recently. I picked up these 3 sticks this morning and the seller had no idea what they were. I'd really appreciate any help identifying them!
Thanks
Tom

The first picture is a Beech.
The middle is perhaps a Maple.
I need to see the branches and buds closer to be sure wich species the middle and last one are.
Post a picture of the branches were I can see the first three buds.

Hi Hansen
Thank you so much for the help, I thought the first one might have been a Beech/Hornbeam.
It's quite difficult getting close up pictures.. especially in the London storm today. But hopefully the below pics are a bit clearer?

You can tell the different between a Beech and Hornbeam by the leaves.
The next is a Maple, as i thought.
I cant identify the last one. But I can identify the tree when it gets leaves. I posted a picture, and i will give you a little advice for next time. Put your hand under the branch when you take a picture, then its much easier to see the branch clearly.

Beech, which this is, does not look like hornbeam: Beech buds are long and clearly pointed. Hornbeam buds are much shorter, and more rounded.
