Hi. I'm new to this and really need some help. I have grown a bonsai from seed just over two year ago. Its very solid and growing but has no bark on it yet. I am not sure what kind if tree it is when will it start looking like it is getting it's bark?

I'm not sure how we can know if we don't know what species it is - or how you can take care for it not knowing its requirements?

Hi thank you for your reply. I am not a bonsai expert I am very new to learning about them. When I potted it I did forget to put a label on it. I do need to repot it into to proper bonsai soil. I can post a picture of it and see if anyone is able to tell. I must be doing something right though if it is growing and it hasn't died. Although I do know it can be growing faster. Just want help and friendly advice.

Friendly advice: stop calling your seedling bonsai :)
What you have is a very young plant, that needs at least 10-20 years before it can possibly become a bonsai. Don't worry about bonsai soil yet, best is to get it outdoors, plant it in the garden, dig it up every two years or so to work on the roots, trim now and then..
I think what you mean with bark is what you see on older trees, so time and patience you will see
