Made the newbie mistake of buying a tree for my wife without research or questions. Now I have no clue what she’s getting for Valentine’s Day. Any assistance and general care advice to get us through the first week would be greatly appreciated.

Your tree is a Carmona Retusa.

Put it in the brightest place indoor. The tree needs lots of water. Make sure the soil dries between watering. But it may not dry completely out.
