Is my mugo pine dying?

I reported from nursery stock about a month back and I fear it could be dying. I had it in a very shaded area of the house. Could this be the cause of the needle browning and is it too late to save?

Your tree is dying because it is inside, yes.
Pines should be outside 24/7
Besides that, it looks like you repotted in winter (You should really repot at the start of the growing season) and you wired at the same time. That is not such an ideal combination. Typically for pine you should restrain yourself and only do one major job per year.

Again, thank you. I got a bit excited to try it for the first time. I'll keep that in mind for the future.

Is it likely too late to save this tree?

I wouldn't be very optimistic.Acrossell wrote: Is it likely too late to save this tree?
When I had pines with this much browning it was already too late to do anything.
Good luck!

Looking at the needles Im'going to say it is not likely this tree can be saved.
That doesn't mean you must give up trying.
