I love in London, UK and am looking after my brothers bonsai tree whilst he lives in Australia. I think the tree is a fig.
I went to Australia to visit him and as we have building work going on, left the tree outside where it has been for nearly a war with no issues. Whilst I was away though the temperature was very cold with several nights below freezing.
I know that this is a cardinal sin for a tree like this and sure enough about half of the leaves have now turned brown and fallen off (it is now inside btw).
What do I do now? How do I get the leaves to grow back? Should I be shaking off all the dead leaves or pruning back branches where there are now no leaves? HELP!!

I can't tell from the pictures what the species is. If you have had it inside then put it out into the cold that we had that will have not helped. It dos also look dry. You might be lucky and it will come back but if it is a tender species then you have killed it.
