How to..Initial planting for a rooting and sprouted Coast Redwood Burl was created by radar

I have a Coast Redwood Burl that had nice sprouts and is rooting. It's been in a shallow dish of water and I think it's ready to plant. I live in Wyoming so it'll need to be a bonsai as it will never survive our seasons outdoors. I'm trying to find good instructions for the initial planting and also do I plant it so that the burl itself is buried below the soil or should some of it remain above? Thanks!

Hello and welcome.
It's going to take a very long time for it to become a bonsai.
And indoors... Trees don't like to be indoors quite frankly.
Why don't you make it a nice indoors house plant instead?
Just my humble suggestion.

Thanks so much for the reply. As indoors houseplant would be fine, I'm just trying to figure out the best way to put it into soil. I'm not even sure how deeply to plant the actual burl. I've looked and looked on-line and can't find the information. I can only find RE-potting and planting from seeds, and general care. I'm a total newbie at this.
