Hello all! About 9 days ago I planted 25 jacaranda seeds in a 40 cell propagator and now I have 5 lovely green leaved seedlings! I've just keeping them on my windowsill where they get a fair bit of daylight. They seem to be growing more and more each day now and two of them are in the same cell...basically I want to know when to get them out as the largest of the bunch is now about a cm tall and shares it's cell with another of half the size. At the rate they're growing I would assume they will need reporting soon as I don't want their roots to tangle! I'm completely new to this so i just thought i would ask your advice and see what's my next step and when do I take it Thank you.

How much experience do you have growing stuff from seed?
In general, I would wait untill you see the stems go brown. That means they are forming wood, and are way stronger than now.
If however you have loads of experience replanting young seedlings.. I replant at any stage. Just need to be carefull not to crush the stems, hurt the roots etc. For many this is not intuative. So wait untill they are somewhat bigger.

I am with LB on that one.
I am growing a dozen Jacarandá seedlings myself, and some are sharing the same pot (you know, sow three seeds in each pot, only one will take, and of course all of them sprout!). They take almost a full growing season to get woody trunks, so if I were you, I would wait to repot.

The experience I have comes from school where I may of planted a flower or something  lol okay, I will keep them growing...how long would you say? Plus they're currently in a 40 cell propergator that I just put the lid on and taped so it was sealed. I'm not sure whether I should take the lid off or what haha as it seems it produces it's own moisture in there as it is. I forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject I guess I just wanted to try something new and I'm in the research stage!
