Hello
I have two Shimpaku Junipers that I keep in this greenhouse over the winter. The temperature has been around -5 for a few days. How do I tell if the roots are freezing?
Also, also any suggestion for winter care not covered in the beginner and intermediate courses on this site would be helpful
Thanks

How do you think junipers survive in nature? There's no one there to take their temperature, and still they do just fine - even when temperatures get much lower than that.
Your greenhouse will do - just make sure it doesn't get too warm in there.

all my shimpaku sit outside in all weather. Only when it drops below -10 for longer periods of time might I consider moving them out of the wind and sun, and give them some shelter.
