Hello everybody,
I have a Chinese Pepper, recently bought that did well for about a week or so.
Some day I decided to start cutting it, but without consulting any websites, I've cut them matching my esthetics. So I have cut even some green branches. but not the thickest branches.
After that, it's leaves started fading as color, and finally all of them fell.
The thinner branches dried out, while the main stem is still elastic, so I guess alive.
I watered it with water baths then letting it drain for some minutes. (before and after the leaves falling down)
It stayed in semi shadow. But when it started fading, I've put it near the window.
The temperature was around 19 degrees celsius, and after the drying out i've kept it in my room at around 24 degrees.
What is the reason for it dying and is it possible to revive it?
Please help.
Regards.

tree looks dead. stop moving the tree around, if you were sick and wanted to lay-down you wouldn't be happy if someone kept picking you up and moving you around. FYI its also most likely cause you have this tree indoors, all and every tree belongs outside they will never live indoors.

Oh, please show some kindness. I am a beginner and I want to repair if possible.
Also, I live in Romania, in the winter there are temperatures even below -20 celsius degrees. Can they survive in that temperature? (this type especially)
And I have also a Chinese Elm. Are they able to survive in these conditions?

How about doing some research? All this information is available on this vey website (and that goes for Crent too):
The chinese pepper is a sub tropical. It cannot be kept outdoors in winter in your climate.

-20 is too cold in most cases. In any case, if outside in frosty weather, keep out of the wind and direct sun. And avoid them drying out. But when temps drop below -5 for longer periods of time, start considering frost protection.
