Hello everyone, I am new in this culture and I have a problem. I choose to grow bonsai from seed (podocarpus macrophyllus "Buddhist pine") but something went wrong. I planted seed in early October. Before planting I made scarification (around 36 hours). After month nothing happened, there was no sign that something want to grow... So question is, did I do something wrong? Maybe there nothing happen because now is autumn? I live in east Europe where winters are around 30 C and winter -20 C, I planed to grow bonsai only indoor.
P.S I don't do any stratification, just only scarification.

I don't know much about this species from seed, it ,may be that it will take longer to germinate. These seed are nothing to do with bonsai. it will be many years before it will be. You would be better to buy a plant and grow that. Growing plants inside is very difficult and not the best way. Search the species to find out more.
