I recently received a Juniper bonsai for my birthday and I am in love with it. I'm still new to growing a bonsai but I have done as much research as I can and I am trying to look after my tree the best I can. I water my plant on a daily basis (most of the time). If I see that the soil is still damp, I will not water it. I haven't been able to buy fertiliser yet but I will get onto that (if anyone could give me tips on which fertiliser to get and how often to feed my plant). My plant is always in the sun, however, I have brought it inside for a couple of days when it is pouring.
There are still some things I am unsure of though:
1. The other night, I had a massive thunderstorm in the middle of the night which obviously soaked the soil. I am aware that if the soil is constantly wet, the rots may root. So my question is, with weather conditions like rain, do I take my juniper inside?
2. I have noticed a little bit of yellowing on the inside of my juniper. I was super stressed about this, but read that it might be normal for a small amount of shedding of old leaves. The rest of my tree is looking super healthy and green and the tips are looking very green. But, I'm still worried that the yellowing may spread even though only a few leaves are affected at the moment. What is causing this and what do you suggest I do?

i try to move my trees as little as possible, in fact if i can avoid it i do. some trees take relocating more stressful than others. for example if i move my fire-thorn bush it instantly yellows and drops a handful of leaves but my bougainvillea wont show any stress. never take a tree inside it will die.

yellow needles on the inside is totally normal. old needles will turn yellow and fall off, they will also turn yellow due to the lack of light towards the inside of the foliage if growth is very vigorous and blocking light to the inside needles, this is when trimming and wiring help. but im not saying to trim yours i have not seen you tree.

Never bring junipers inside *)
Be careful answering beginner's questions if you 're a beginner yourself.
*) inside being something like a living room or another indoor space - unless when it's unheated and has the right conditions for outdoor trees.
