Hey, So I have recently brought what I believe is a chinese Rose (Sagaretia Theezans)
And I have just noticed that the leaves feel dry and crispy and are sort of drooping, however the tree itself looks rather healthy and I believe it is being watered correctly?
What could the possible issues be?
Thanks in advance

It looks too dry. When you water you must water thoroughly, enough to run through the pot and thn let it drain.

Whenever I water, the water seems to have a hard time running through and tends to sit on the surface for some time, which is why i thought it had enough water, could it be a soil problem?

The soil is completely dessicated. You can see it has relased from the walls, that is how much the soil has shrunk because of water shortage.
Wat er with slightly warm NEVER HOT water. But for now, you will have to place the plant in a few cm of water and lit is sit there for an hour to fill up again.

When I get home tonight I will sit it in water, although it may also look on the rough side due to me trying to poke holes for the water to drain through properly as it was just sitting on the top, the water i use is generally room temperature

Okay, I have soaked it in water for around 20minutes and i could no longer see any air bubbles coming out, what would be the next step in the process to ensure a successful recovery?
