Ugly Young Maple was created by Kats

Hello, I am new to 名媛直播 and I recently rescued a very thirsty 2011 maple bonsai from a commercial nursery.
The tree is approx. 8" tall in a 7" split water/scenery pot (little figure fishing)
The tree is happy now but one of it's 2 main branches is almost as thick as it's trunk, it feels unbalanced to me...
any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated
