New Tree!

I just signed up for this forum today, so bear with me on the category classification.
I was at HyVee yesterday and wandered into the floral shop thinking I could get something cool for my new apartment. I ended up stumbling across a couple bonsai plants and ended up buying one!
The only knowledge I have of these trees is what Mr. Miyage teaches the karate kid about them lol.
So here’s someone with very little plant knowledge attempting to care for a bonsai.
This is where I have it set up. On my dining table, which gets lots of sunlight most of the day. Plenty of air circulation because my apartment has a stupid amount of air vents. And a little swivel thing to spin it.
I just watered it for the first time and noticed it spilling out of the drain holes at the bottom... not sure if that’s okay or not.
I’ll do some reading on here but any advice or feedback is appreciated. Looking forward to getting more of these and working with all of you!

Note that this juniper needs to be moved outside, or it will die. Also, remove the fake move and glued upon rocks, else you cannot tell when to water it.

I had no idea the mossy stuff was fake. And I don’t believe the rocks are glued down. Not sure if that matters but either way I’ll get ride of them!

Nope. It is just a young juniper. It can become a bonsai but it will take a decade or two of dedicated care and training.
Do not buy material like this if you are really interested in growing bonsai.

Nah, don't worry. Did you see the forum netiquette when you created the thread/ It has tons of this sort of basic info. Well worth a read.(I am however one of the authors, so I am biased!).Seffers wrote: ! Sorry for wasting your guys’ time!
