Hello,
I have a small white pine and it is producing new buds and they look like I will have a second set of candles coming in a few weeks.. I guess, I could just assume it is not what the seller said it was, or this could be some fluke?

It depends n what you and the seller would call a white pine. And of course, whether you are really getting a second flush..
Maybe a picture might help?

Here is one picture. I'm not sure if it is indeed a Japanese white pine, the seller called it a m?dchenkiefer in German.

It's a five-needle pine (NOT a two needle pine, like the Black or Red pines), so the chances are it is really a goyomatsu (Japanese White Pine).
Which leads us to the question: How did it flush twice, when it is not supposed to do that?

I am noticing a lot of species in second spring. My apples are flowering. I just pulled off a bunch of flowers in my maples.. I think the heat has put the plants in a state of dormancy, alike to winter. And now with increases of rain and drops in temperature they are running their spring show, it looks like.

I think that is a good answer, LB. My Mugo pine (also single flush) also seems to be doing the same thing... which is good, because the needles were not looking good there for a while.
