So I started growing a bonsai tree, but I have no green thumb what so ever so I kinda just assumed I’d probably accidentally kill it before anything really happened. Lol well it’s not dead yet and I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve done a lot of online reading but there’s a lot out there and I’m super overwhelmed. So I attached pics so you can see what my tree is at, any advice you could give me as to what to do would be fantastic!
P. S. I have don’t a little pruning because it was starting to get pretty big
P.P.S. It’s a jacaranda mimosifolia

First of all, you need to to grow a bit of a trunk, so let it grow.
Next to this, you wuld neeed to get some side-branches on the plant. So let it grow twice the current height, and then trim the stem back. That should indice side-braches to grow. But create some bulk. The trunk needs a lot of growing.

Ok so what do you mean trim the stem back? And should I be worried about my pot being too small?
