名媛直播

Hi Guys,

Im brand new here (and to 名媛直播 owning).

My friend bought me a much wanted 名媛直播 Tree for my birthday at the end of may. All was doing well until about two weeks ago, when his leaves started falling off. After some internet research i can only conclude that i have given him root rot (or perhaps prolonged sun exposure? or both?). His leaves are falling off and they feel very dry. I've been watering when the soil felt dry (but i think i'm possibly giving too much water at once?) and giving bonsai feed once every 2/3 weeks. The bonsai has been in the window (i live in a 4th floor flat in London and the window allows a lot of sun on to the tree (perhaps too much?) .

The attached picture is from two weeks ago, when his leaves first started dropping. I can take one again a bit later when i'm home, if necessary.

Please help me save my tree, not only was it a gift from someone that means a lot to me but a also really like it.

P.s Does anyone know what type of 名媛直播 it is?

It's a Chinese Elm and it looks OK in this picture.
I don't like the look of the soil.

Yes agree with Clicio.. soil looks really poor... looks over watered...

Should be outside in the sun.

Thank you, it has definitely dropped several leaves since this picture. Is it best to re pot the 名媛直播 now or is it the wrong time of year? In terms of watering i have definitely cut down. Is there anything else you could recommend for me to do, for the tree to regain its strength?

can you lift it out of the pot carefully and have a look at the roots, are they very dense and brown? I'm having same issue with my tree. I'll attach a picture later.

my root system seems to be very dense and wet, leaves are falling off regularly, I think we have the same problem.

White tips=healthy roottips
Brown/Light brown roots=good roots
Dark brown/black/mushy roots=dead roots.

Anyways, soil looks very wet and dense. The rootball "hole" under the trunk is a concern also.
