Leaves Browning/Dropping

I recently purchased a bonsai tree, and I’m having some trouble with it. I bought it as an inside bonsai, and I’m making sure to give it about 8 hours of sunlight from a North facing window. I’ve also been spraying my tree with water, trying to provide humidity since I don’t own a humidity tray. (My tree is in a pot with a water wick that gives it water.) A lot of leaves have turned brown, and of those a majority of them having brown/black spots on the tops and bottoms of them. I originally thought I had a white fly problem, so I sprayed my tree with insecticide, and it’s helped with the white fuzz/spots, but I’m no longer sure it’s white flies. I’m worried that my tree may be getting overwatered with the wick? I purchased it this way and it seemed perfectly healthy in store. I have had some new branches sprout, and some flowers that have tried to bloom but died before they could. Can anyone help me identify what is causing the leaves to brown/fall, and how to fix it? (I attached an image of my tree when purchased with many leaves, and some ones that are current. It’s been about a month since I got it, I also provided a picture of the little white fuzzy stuff on the leaves, I have no idea what this is, could it be causing the problem?)

It should be outdoors and watered correctly.
