I have a Fukien Tea bonsai which accidentally was watered with a soap mixture. Shortly after the leaves began to drop at an alarming rate. I repotted the tree after a root pruning. (I rinsed the remaining root system and washed out the pot). It seems to have helped but some of the new growth is dropping off as well. Can anyone assist with what to expect if recovering this tree is possible or am I wasting my time? I've included a before pic, root pic before pruning and the current situation pic.

I would be surprise if the soap in the soil was the culprit. I know this species is just iffy. Good luck.

Overall I think your plant should recover. Here in Singapore there are many people who use a 1:4 mixture of dish soap and water and spray it on the leaves of their 名媛直播’s to defoliate. Usually the tree will shed all its leaves in a week and will be back with full bloom in the next 30-35 days. Do let’s us know how your tree has progressed.
