Is it normal for leaves to drop off? was created by DANCING BONSAI

I am not completely sure how to care for this bonsai. There was a time where all the leaves basically fell off. So moved it to some where with more sun light and got some bonsai feed. Things have since improved. But now some of the leaves have started turning yellow and dropping off. Any input would be much appreciated.

H and welcome.
The soil seems overly dry. (Besides hat it looks really bad quality soil).
I would recommend watering the plant with luke-warm water to really get the water in the rootball.

Could you recommend me a soil? Would a bonsai all purpose blend be alright?

Good draining soil.
Almost any "blend" will do.
Akadama+Pumice+Lava is the standard mix.

Also, if you have moved your bonsai to a different location can sometimes cause tempermental tress to their leaves.

I can only find Akadama + Pumice + John Innes No.3 mixes. Will this be alright for a Ficus Retusa?
Thank you
