Fukien Tea Tree Dying was created by jlabgirl

So I got a Fukien tea bonsai just about a month ago, and it's already dying! The leaves are turning brown and dropping off, and some of the leaves turn yellow and then go back to green. This is my first time with this, but I did plenty of research when I got it and I read that brown leaves=not enough water and yellow leaves=too much water, but it's doing both at one time so if anyone has any idea what those mean it would be great. So far, I use water bottle water and spray the soil daily to keep it moist, and then once a week I "bathe"/soak it in water for about ten minutes. The tree pot is in a dish with pebbles to try and maintain humidity and I spray that on occasion too. My friend who has the same type of tree (we bought them together) says his tree is doing the same thing, and he believes that it's simply because we live in a dryer/warmer part of Arizona (they're indoor plants), but I don't know if that's true. I honestly just don't know what I'm doing wrong, so any insight would be great. Thanks so so much!

Photographs, please.

That is a rather odd, misleading or directly wrong diagnosis of a problem. Even if I do believe (without having the pics to confirm it) that the issue with your plant might be related to possibly bad soil condition + incorrect watering regime + improper caring (+ maybe having it indoors), that conclusion of yours is not necessarily fulfilled all the time or in every occasion. Please, do look into this forum and you?ll see post like that everywhere, with proper explanations.

Awful watering regime + useless humidity tray, pebbles and spraying. Again, look into my previous comment.

That is because you and your friend are doing exactly the same things wrong or in inadequate manner.

Again, photos are required, as well as your own investigation. Have you looked into this forum?s "Search" tool?
